Lin Yu-Sheng

Builds portable clam-farming equipment from a Vespa, claw machines and coin pushers, starting from a memory of his father gathering wild clams.

Lin Yu-Sheng's long-term project My Mobile Clam Shack is built from wind-driven machinery, clam shells, sand, sound and video. A blue Vespa tows an aquarium, a claw machine picks clams and a coin pusher washes and sorts them; the machines keep their ordinary functions and their wear.

The project starts from a memory of his father gathering wild clams, and from a coast changed by aquaculture and wind-energy infrastructure, as well as Lin's own movement between cities. The 2025 version stood beside the Dahan River; from September 5 to October 18, 2026, it was shown in B1 KSpace at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts.
