Three purple cats look innocent. The other two have zigzag grins. All five grow on green stems from the same purple vase in Tsai Pei Chen's 2026 acrylic painting《見て/ 咪ㄉㄟ (三)》. I would put this bouquet on my table, then keep an eye on it.
The faces are nearly the same shape. A mouth changes whom you trust. Her first solo exhibition,《邊界ERROR》, takes that habit of sorting things as its starting point. Tsai writes about experiences she cannot readily understand or share, and the distance that opens when people feel differently. An angel need not be good; a demon need not be evil.
