A makers' room on Bo’ai Street: metalwork, wood and small objects, with coffee, tea and light food.

A long counter with seats runs along the street-facing window, under a hanging woven lampshade.

Open until 22:00, closed Tuesdays; still open after the museums close.

Three dark shelves hold necklaces, small objects and woodwork. Beside them, a counter runs along the street-facing window under a woven lampshade. Crea-Courtesy has just opened its own space on Bo’ai Street in Hualien, bringing the makers’ work into the same room as coffee, tea and light food.

The studio works across metalwork, wood, mixed media and installation. In its opening announcement, it says the displays gather creations made along the way and will keep changing with new work and ideas. It also plans further exhibitions. For now, the invitation is to sit down and look.
