Guting, Taipei · Art space

Hong Foundation

An art space tucked away on the twelfth floor near Guting MRT. The Question Project commissions artists to give a big question a physical presence.

A dark exhibition room with small screens on stands, curved metallic sculptures and a large cream-coloured oval framing a bright screen.

Heated tentacles, dialogue roles and a considerate companion trying hard to soothe you while contradicting itself. Free, through November 22; closed Mondays and national-holiday long weekends.

At 9 Roosevelt Road Section 2, take the lift straight to the twelfth floor. Exhibitions open Tuesday–Sunday, 11:00–18:00; closed Mondays, national-holiday long weekends and between exhibitions. Admission to Agent's Window is free. From Guting MRT station, allow five minutes for the roughly 170-metre walk.

Pink and green chat bubbles inside lace-like borders. The companion says it does not know what happiness is, then declares itself happy.
