Staggered roofs, stone and red-brick walls make the museum itself resemble a compressed Matsu village. Displays move from islanders' daily lives into archaeology and memories of military administration, with the galleries renewed in 2024. Fishing tools, local customs and oral histories offer another way into these islands.
At 135 Qingshui Village, Nangan. Open 09:00–17:00; closed Wednesdays. General admission NT$40, concessions NT$20; free for Lienchiang County residents. From Nangan Airport, allow about ten minutes by taxi for the 3.2km trip. The coastal bus line stops at the museum.
