Read about the 1920s cultural movement beside the cells and water dungeon of the 1933 police station.
The present Taihoku North Police Station building opened in 1933. It now presents the history of the Taiwan Cultural Association, its newspapers, lectures and reading groups.
The fan-shaped cells and water dungeon remain. The earlier station where Chiang Wei-shui and others were detained in the 1920s stood across the street, at 171, Section 2, Chongqing North Road.
