Begin with the bottles and jars at Tsung-Yeh, and get close to the Zengwen River.
Tsung-Yeh was a sugar factory and company headquarters. After the factory closed, local residents and cultural-history workers campaigned to preserve the buildings; the arts centre opened in 2001. Exhibitions occupy the Red Building, the former guesthouse and the site's craft spaces. During the 2026 Mattauw Earth Triennial, Chen Ke-ting and Frank Bloem bring scent works to the Red Building. Give this stop some unhurried nose time.

From Longtian railway station, take Orange 10 toward Madou to Zongye Sugar Factory. Walk roughly 300 metres, about five minutes, into the centre.
