Twelve minutes from the station: where Tainan's old songs come from.
Xu Shi composed Anping Memories and Night in the Southern Capital. In his hometown, a music library bears his name. Its second-floor permanent exhibition, 石來韻轉:許石-臺灣歌謠的磐石, follows the composer’s work. The building was once Yule Hall and opened as a music library in 2018. Music books and audiovisual collections occupy the first floor; the library also has a black-box theatre and practice rooms.
Through October 31, 2026, the first-floor lobby hosts the music-book display 故鄉音.歌謠情-臺灣歌謠哼起來. Before your visit, explore the Taiwan Music Institute’s collection record for 南都之夜: lyrics by 鄭志峰, music by 許石, and a recording by 許石 and 廖美惠.
