New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum

A ten-minute walk from Yingge Station, with time to see clay take sculptural form.

Sunlight enters a tall museum gallery. On a white plinth in front, grey-green hollow ceramic forms carry a cluster of thin red shells; other works stand on white plinths behind.

Make the museum part of a Yingge walk, then browse the old street's ceramics.

Pair the museum with Yingge's old street for a day of ceramics. Allow an hour or two inside, then browse cups and plates in the shops—or reverse the order and bring those everyday objects to mind as you look at the exhibitions.
