Gallery Life-seeding (至美蒔光)

Kozue Tsukahara studied metalwork before glass and uses silver wire to bring the two together. She shows with eight other artists from Taiwan and Japan off Guling Street.

September 3–October 31, 2026; Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–18:00, closed Monday.

A round coral-pink glass disc on white. A large flower of thin outlined petals fills the centre, with a smaller flower near the upper right and lower left edges and fine bubbles through the glass.

Look closely at Tsukahara's line-drawn flowers. On until October 31, 5–10 minutes from Guting MRT; walk in.

Kozue Tsukahara trained in metalwork before she turned to glass. On the page of the Japanese gallery that represents her, she says she then looked for a way of working that would combine the two materials. Her pieces use silver wire and firing, and her patterns come from plants and nature.

The piece Gallery Life-seeding (至美蒔光) posted for this show is a round, coral-pink disc. One large flower fills the middle: rings of long petals around a cluster of small circles, every shape traced in a thin line. A smaller flower sits near the upper right edge, another near the lower left, and fine bubbles are scattered through the glass. The lines read warm gold against the pink.

Tsukahara is one of nine artists from Taiwan and Japan in 《透光敘事 — 2026國際玻璃聯展》, a 2026 international group show of glass. The others include 許文龍 and 陳建志 from Taiwan, and 西中千人 and KITTA YOKO from Japan.

The show runs until October 31, Tuesday to Sunday 10:00–18:00, closed Mondays. The gallery welcomes walk-in visitors. It is at 4, Lane 60, Guling Street, Zhongzheng District, which the gallery puts at a 5–10 minute walk from Guting MRT exit 8. Phone 02-2550-1275.
