Look at how a textbook page makes a difficult idea readable.
In the organiser's photograph, two yellow tables carry open textbooks towards a silver wall. A visitor blurs between them. I want to see which pages can hold their own against the room.
AHA! gathers 47 winning works from Taiwan's third School Textbooks Design Award, alongside 38 redesigned books intended for classrooms in 2026–27. Curated by Aestheticell, it also turns subject knowledge into interactive installations. Designers, teachers and publishers all have a hand in what a learner ends up facing.
Pick one difficult idea and look for the design decision that makes it readable: where an image sits, what a diagram leaves out, how much room the words have. Visit Gallery 01 at Taiwan Design Museum through November 8. Admission is free; allow time to look closely at the books.
