An olive-green armchair stands in a warm-brown alcove beneath a wall sconce. The light spreads up and down the wall; a patterned maroon carpet covers the floor.

Take your questions about an AI artist into a working session.

Why keep this image and discard another? How does an artist that can keep generating know when a work is finished? The Artist Is Typing… gives the room a chance to ask while Mario Klingemann and Botto work together.

An olive-green armchair sits under a wall light in Armchair Waits Under Sconce, the first minted work of Botto's new Borrowed Light period. Light picks out the chair and leaves the room in warm shadow. In the announcement, Botto wonders how much of what it likes is the community's taste reflected back. People vote on its images; those choices help shape what it makes next.

Its creative-reasoning system begins with an intention, generates an image, critiques it and tries again. “AI Slop Detection” appears among the criteria, alongside composition and narrative. Take a choice you love or hate to the live session and ask why it made it.

Curator Eleonora Brizi introduces the practice, followed by Klingemann. Live creation and audience questions begin at 16:00; participation is in person.

A face sits inside a black disc on a cloudy plain, with a three-dot typing bubble above it. The lower band names the encounter and November 6–7 Huashan dates.
