Watch SAKI's metal grounds change with the light; NT$250 with a drink, 10 minutes from Daqiaotou MRT.

Blue-green ribbons loop across the gold ground of Huang Chi-Ying's 流景. In 玄流, black paint bends across silver, trailing fine lines and droplets toward a small pool of blue. These two works from SAKI's online gallery give you something specific to look for in her practice: where the broad paint narrows into a thread, and where the metal remains uncovered.

SAKI works with metal leaf and acrylic, and describes surfaces that change with light and viewing angle. She has announced her participation in Taiwan × Japan Art Salon, a nine-painter exhibition at Reader's House in Dadaocheng. Five painters from Japan and four from Taiwan bring their work into the same Dihua Street venue.

The exhibition ticket includes a drink. Move a little to see how a metallic surface catches the light, then come back to the paint itself.
