What's Playing on the Huashan Wall

GDAP's six-exhibition rotation runs through Sunday

Stop at Huashan's outdoor screens for five minutes and you may see only one of the six exhibitions currently sharing them. Stay for about fifty minutes and the wall changes six times.

GDAP organized the complete rotation. Each part keeps its own artists, curator, and collaborators.

1. CO-FORM — shaped by code, sound and movement

CCC Taiwan curated the first programme from work by twenty-five women in its 2026 summer creative-coding cohort. Every piece lasts twenty-five seconds.

Cindy Lin's 《香火 / Incense》 begins with the OpenStreetMap coordinates of 5,787 temples in Taiwan. Orange and gold points gather over the island until the map starts to look like flame. It is one work inside CO-FORM, which also has its own complete exhibition in New Art City.

2. Dopamine Under the French Sky

Lottevont turns the sky into a generative French disco. Bright lines jump through clouds and landscape; the work finds its pleasure in movement that refuses to arrive the same way twice.

3. The Tear Between Images

Curated by Tai Mei, The Tear Between Images brings together Anna Malina, Aempatia, Tai Mei, Marta Timmer, jonCates, and Ex Mortal. Their moving images pass through glitch, analogue photography, digital collage, and mixed media on a wall crossed by people going to dinner, a shop, another exhibition, or the MRT.

4. 天使的色彩，社會的擁抱

Leshan and GDAP bring paintings made by Leshan artists onto the public screens. Digital editing changes the scale and movement of work first made by hand, placing disabled artists' work in the same rotation as the other five contemporary exhibitions.

5. 重組的回憶 ─ 重生

Ding Hao-Yi works from photographs and memories of a dog who died. He generates the images repeatedly, allowing the machine's changes and mistakes to enter the record. At Huashan, the dog's eye holds the vertical screen while transformed fragments move above it.

6. 熾雪 / Burning Snow

Chen Hui-Ming's Burning Snow contains two moving-image works, 《黎明來臨之前》 and 《翳雪之上》. Fire burns against darkness; snow and water move across the screen. Their pace is slow enough to make a quiet interval inside the traffic of Huashan.

The six exhibitions occupy one public surface in succession. Arriving halfway through is part of the wall's rhythm. Stay for the full rotation and you will see where each exhibition begins and ends.
