An adoption story becomes an imagined reunion, inside a bookshop devoted to alternative comics and self-published work.
阿桃 had a twin brother. When 羅荷 adopted her white cat, she could not take both home. She still sometimes wonders how the other cat is doing. In《純白色的歌》, she gives them somewhere to meet.
The two white cats wear ruffled collars and carry shells: one green and pointed, the other a pink spiral. Pale clouds leave them plenty of room. Against all that white, the little patches of colour make the shells feel like presents brought to a reunion.
The drawing belongs to Petals & Seeds, 羅荷's small exhibition at Mangasick, running October 9–November 1, 2026. The final three viewing days are Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1, from 14:00 to 21:00. Exhibition visits are free and need no reservation.
Mangasick is an adults-only alternative-comics bookshop downstairs behind white louvred doors in Gongguan. Leave time for its original publications, zines and art books after the drawing. Bring cash if you want to buy something; take your shoes off at the entrance before browsing.
