Two objects worth looking closer at on a Yingge walk.
On Joshin Hiroko's 2026 box, prawns, fish and roe cover a dark, glossy surface. At 17 cm long, it is an elaborate way to bring lunch into an art gallery. The work combines copper, silver, ceramic and shippo enamel.
Minowa Mami calls her 2026 wood-inlay work Humidity 93%. Pale flowers and green leaves sit against a purple-brown pattern. The square is 29 cm across; what first looks soft and woven is built in wood.
