The work keeps the vendors' unfinished sentences. Free, a few minutes from Longshan Temple MRT.
The grey paper walls have warm pockets of light. Pink spheres sit alone, gather together or peer around an edge. I like how little Lin Hsi Yu needs to suggest company.
Her installation《街區浮現時》places market oral histories inside paper and light. The lighting lets words appear and disappear. In her BIOS interview, Lin describes answers arriving with pauses, hesitation and things people would rather leave unsaid. Giving those gaps a place in the work feels more honest than making a neighbourhood speak in one tidy voice.
The installation is on U-mkt's second floor, in the 新厝邊 exhibition room, within Made in Market. The Wanhua exhibition is free, open 10am–6pm Tuesday–Sunday through November 15, 2026. Address: 70 Sanshui Street, Taipei. From Longshan Temple MRT Exit 3, it is a few minutes' walk into the market streets; open the directions for the approach.
