Why this order

A-Lin's paintings have moved into 94 cafe, and the artist suggests an afternoon through Gangshan. Begin with coffee and the small oil-painting show, then walk to Xing Village's restored buildings and exhibitions. Stay in Gangshan for the afternoon.

Suggested afternoon

Coffee and paintings 13:00–14:00; allow 27 minutes for the 1.9 km walk. Visit the village about 14:30–16:30, then return to the streets for a meal. Walking from the MRT station through both stops totals about 2.5 km.

Allow ten minutes for the 625-metre walk from Gangshan MRT RK1 to 94 cafe. The village is another 1.9 km away; choose a taxi for that leg if the heat or walk doesn't suit you.
