Why this order
Giant clothes change the scale of the street. Timber joints and ceramic shards draw you closer, before a tiny light-carrying train leads through a family's objects upstairs.
Plan it
Start around 13:00 on Changrong Street, reach the timber courtyard around 14:00 and MUGN around 15:00. Aim for Yongchang's 16:00 or 17:00 window. Upstairs opens for 45 minutes each hour, with last entry five minutes before the end; the grain shop's hours are different.
Allow 25 minutes for the 1.5 km walk from TRA Chiayi's front station. Start around Island Coffee and look along the street for the other four garments.
