Why this order

Begin at an artist-run space that has just moved to Yancheng, continue to the house where Ko Chih-hua lived and worked after prison, then take the ferry to the War and Peace Memorial Park by the sea.

    New Sin Pin Pier

    Start at the new Daren Road address, where New Sin Pin continues its programme after leaving its longtime Dayong Road rooms. Wang Wu's Growing by Itself is currently showing.

  2. Stop 2

    Ko Chih-hua Residence

    It opens at one, which fits. Ko Chih-hua's English grammar sold in the millions; this house holds the desk he returned to after prison.

    War and Peace Memorial Park and Theme Museum

    Ferry from Gushan to Qijin. The park never closes; the museum shuts at six. Ending the day at the water is deliberate.
