Why this order
Begin with sound filling a museum room. Then cross to Baoan Temple, where rival teams of artisans worked opposite sides of the building. Compare what each of you notices over dinner.
Your afternoon and evening
Suggestion: 14:00–16:45 museum, 17:10–17:50 temple, 18:00 dinner. Allow about five hours; walks between stops total 1.6 km, plus the station approach and return. Stay longer at the museum if you like. For reserved Saturday 17:00, 18:00 or 19:00 free entry, visit the temple and eat early before the museum; follow your ticket’s check-in deadline.
Allow 15 minutes for the roughly 800-metre walk from Yuanshan MRT through Expo Park to TFAM. After dinner, Dalong Street to the station is about 670 metres; allow 12 minutes. Each stop has a directions link.

Stop 2
Baoan Temple: rival artisans, one building
Walk — About 1.35 km west from TFAM; allow 25 minutes on foot.
At 61 Hami Street, spend 30–45 minutes with the woodcarving and colourful ceramic fragments on the roof. During the 1917 renovation, teams worked on opposite sides in a craft competition known as duichangzuo. Look at how each side handles its work. This is a working temple: give worshippers room and leave carvings untouched. Free, daily 06:00–21:00.

Dalong Street: choose a dish each
Walk — About 230 metres from the temple; allow five minutes.
Reach Dalong Street around 18:00 for rice, noodles and dessert. Stalls keep their own hours and menu prices. Take turns choosing rather than asking one person to plan dinner again. Yuanshan MRT is about 670 metres away; allow 12 minutes after eating.
