Su-su's shop on Hanyang South Road holds the new and secondhand books she wants to read, with space for eastern Taiwan's small publishers. Talks and projects bring reading together with local food. Between events, browse, then buy a book or a drink if you want a seat. The cats are here as supervisors, not entertainers; let management get on with its business.
Open 14:00–20:00, closed Tuesdays. From Taitung Bus Station in the city, allow half an hour for the 2.2 km walk.
