Lai Ho's manuscripts and writing remain active in Changhua through reading, music, adaptation, schools, and public programmes.
Lai Ho practised medicine, wrote, and went to prison, working in classical Chinese and in Taiwanese to describe colonial life. The foundation-run museum holds manuscripts, letters, and objects from his clinic.
Recent publishing, music, school programmes, and neighbourhood reading walks keep the archived texts in circulation.
It is small and sits inside a city building. Treat it as an archive rather than an attraction and you get far more from it.

Public transport
The museum is on the fourth floor of a central Changhua building. From TRA Changhua Station, continue on foot or by local bus.
