A mattress, a magazine and a Tainan museum
Lie down with a magazine, browse nearly 80 bookshops and makers, then stay in central Tainan for dinner. The museum's October 17–18 literary market is free.

Read in a different position, then meet the people making books.
Burabura Bookstore and Boven Tainan are bringing Sleepy Tofu mattresses into the National Museum of Taiwan Literature. Pick a magazine and lie down; DJ Han Lee plays 14:00–16:00 on both days. Your tired legs can have a museum visit too.
When you get up, nearly 80 bookshops, publishers, illustrators, stationery makers and food stalls await. A separate display opens the private reading lists and objects of musicians, poet Hsu Pei-Fen and design studio 小高潮色計事務所. WENS's stall map identifies brands appearing on only one of the two days.
The free market runs 13:00–18:00 on October 17 and 18. Saturday also has a 17:50 lantern walk from the museum towards the Confucius Temple; lantern hire is extra. For an unhurried evening, continue to Hai'an Road for dinner and Shennong Street for a walk.
