The magazine gifts that used to occupy a drawer now have an altar. The museum calls this gathering of giveaways from women's comics magazines a 周邊祭壇: a shrine to the things readers kept alongside the stories.

Through Her Vision and Craft opens in Room 03 of the National Taiwan Museum of Comics on November 4. Six sections follow women comics creators in Taiwan from the 1960s to the present. Original pages by 游素蘭, 依歡 and 賴安 sit alongside 游素蘭's working desk, 陳漢玲's cosplay costumes and signed boards made for the exhibition. Visitors can fill in comic dialogue themselves.

Allow time to explore the old prison-staff buildings around the exhibition. The same museum campus also has the Golden Comic Awards nominee exhibition in buildings 01 and 02, and Ghost Festival Night Market in galleries S, 07 and 08 West. Our museum guide links the other shows and the former bathhouse.
