Five enormous garments hang outside five Changrong Street shops, with room for passers-by to add words. Loremipsum turns the street into an oversized clothesline. A screen-printing cart makes unscheduled appearances along the way.
Allow 25 minutes for the 1.5 km walk from TRA Chiayi's front station. Start around Island Coffee and look along the street for the other four garments.

East District, ChiayiArt Week Chiayi exhibition
MUGN occupies the former framing shop of painter Lin Yu-shan's father. East Lin has given Yushan a mirrored face and two clay tigers. Frosted glass plates become white edelweiss flowers. The temple-roof craft of jiannian has come down to café-table height.
November 7, 17:30–20:30: East Lin's advanced tree-and-mountain workshop, NT$1,000, four participants. The artist says the main table's blacklight setup is visible during this class. See the artist's announcement for class details; participation is separate from free daytime exhibition viewing.

Above the grain shop, a family living room and bedroom become the setting for a miniature train carrying light among furniture and household objects. Artist CHANG, PO-CHIEH works with 董耀鴻; third-generation proprietor 董建志 narrates the family's story in Taigi.
Allow 17 minutes for the 1 km walk from TRA Chiayi's front station. Follow exhibition signs upstairs from the shop.

A casuarina in Chiayi Park fell and was removed. Artist 楊水源 returns to that tree through new materials and scale around Showa J18, asking how its former presence can still be encountered.
About 3 km on foot from TRA Chiayi's front station. Take a taxi to Chiayi Park to begin the eastern walk.

The former Jinlong rice mill now holds a craft space, with wooden milling equipment still above it. Nets, grain and projections by 蔡寧 follow the downward paths rice once took through the building.

SWAYTEA makes tea in an old CPC staff house. 江婕妤 brings memories of Xingye New Village and Nantian Market into indigo-dyed fabric. End the walk with its traces, then sit down for tea.

West District, ChiayiMunicipal museum in a converted heritage building
Most of Chiayi's contemporary art history happened in the street and little of it survives. This is one of the few places that keeps it and is willing to tell it again.
