Why this order

In Building 19, a table projected as the sea carries an animated story, and the room plays whale and dolphin recordings from marine research. Sit at the table and listen for a while. Afterwards, walk out into the old brewery grounds and let your ears adjust to Hualien again.

A suggested afternoon

Two to three hours: Building 19 from about 13:00, then the park. The times are our suggestion. Official hours for Two Thirds: Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–17:00, October 8–December 6, 2026; closed Mondays. Free entry.

Use the park directions above. From Hualien Station's front entrance, Google's walking route is 2,484 metres, about 34 minutes; by road it is about ten minutes, plus any wait for a taxi. Buses stop at 花蓮文創園區 or 中正站. Inside the park, head for Building 19.
