Why this order

Start with a cup you would want to use every day. Then meet a phoenix made from plants, vines and deadwood: 古文旻’s 新生 spreads unruly wings above the museum’s concrete terrace. Both the ceramics market and Flower Episode end this Sunday. Harmonica, jazz and brass give the afternoon somewhere to linger after looking.

Plan it

Try the ceramics market around 10:30, allowing an hour or longer, then walk to the museum. Arrive before 13:00 for live flower arranging and harmonica, or take a longer lunch and aim for the 14:00 jazz or 15:30 brass. This is a suggested order; stay with whatever catches you.

Take a TRA train to Yingge, then walk about fourteen minutes to the ceramics market on Yuying Street. For the festival alone, leave the station by Wenhua Road: the museum route is 735 metres, about eleven minutes, and includes stairs. Return by TRA or LB08 Yingge MRT station beside the museum.

The entrance is opposite 67 Yuying Street, beside the elementary school’s old kiln. 安達窯 turns disposable banquet tableware into ceramic; 小孩畫畫媽媽制器 makes plates from a child’s lobster drawings. Give the objects some time, and see which one you would most like to take home.
