Wood Life at the Experimental Wood Workshop

Ten maker teams in Chiayi's old prison staff quarters.

Meet the carved characters, then the furniture-and-sculpture practice behind them.

Wood Life runs through November 15 in the Experimental Wood Workshop, within Chiayi's old prison staff-quarter area. The exhibition is in the south building and the wood-object shop in the north building. Walk from Beimen station in about eleven minutes.

Public transport

About 750 m / 11 minutes on foot from Beimen station on the Alishan Forest Railway, or 2.2 km / 32 minutes from TRA Chiayi's front station. HSR Chiayi is a separate station.
